"Certification" proves mastery of a skill set, whereas "Registration" signifies official recognition within a particular domain or jurisdiction.

A "License" refers to a more long-term permission granted by a governing body to engage in an activity, while a "Permit" is a temporary authorization for a specific activity, often with stricter conditions and a shorter validity period.

A "License" allows the Licensee to do something regularly, while a "Permit" allows the "Permit Holder" to do something for a limited time or under specific circumstances.
